    Profile:

    A very successful amaresu combatant during his school days, Devine represented the USA nationally and visited Japan in 1993. While in university, he was a direct disciple of Don Frye, who he took freestyle lessons from. He was initiated into WCW's Powerplant in 1999, and caught the eye of New Japan representatives during a scouting trip to the U.S. in June of that year, even earning the attention of Riki Choshu. He first appeared for New Japan as a WCW representative in April, 2000, and after leaving WCW would receive more training from Frye. He returned to New Japan as a regular in October, 2001, and teamed with Kensuke Sasaki in the 2001 G1 Tag League.
