Profile: Mitsuhide Hirasawa, twin of Masahiro Hirasawa, began wrestling at just three years of age in his father's popular amaresu dojo in Sapporo. He won multiple high school amaresu meets and upon going to university, continued to pursue amaresu vigorously, winning the All Japan national freestyle championship at 120kg freestyle class in 2005. This was after joining New Japan, which he was formally initiated into in March, 2005. After lengthy training in the dojo, Hirasawa finally made his debut at Korakuen Hall early in 2006, facing Takashi Iizuka. With strong credentials behind him and a large frame, Hirasawa is a New Japan prospect to keep an eye on in upcoming years.
