    Profile:

Tomohiro Ishii began his professional wrestling career as a WAR trainee and debuted for the company late in 1996. He steadily climbed the ranks in WAR until it became inactive, from which point he became a freelancer, passing through groups such as Michinoku Pro (where he was a member of the FEC faction). In September, 2002, Ishii caught the eye of Riki Choshu, who had left New Japan and was about to form his own promotion, World Japan. Ishii joined World Japan and became a disciple of Choshu, re-training and improving as a wrestler. During WJ's brief existence and the follow-up promotion, Riki Pro, Ishii was able to grow as a wrestler when given many special opponents and experiences. When Choshu returned to New Japan as site foreman, Ishii soon followed, becoming a regular on tours in 2006. In June, 2006, he formed a new "Heisei no Gokudo Combi" (Wicked Pair of Heisei) team with Toru Yano, the two becoming a very polished and effective combination. This helped Ishii gain an identity and acceptance in New Japan. Although a junior heavyweight in height, Ishii has managed to make a successful graduation to heavyweight class due to his large physique and very aggressive, physical style.
