    Profile:

Born in Brazil, Silva played basketball before entering professional wrestling, his height an obvious advantage. He competed in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, representing the Brazilian national team. Silva first wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation in 1998 and 1999, becoming part of the Oddities, a group of strange-looking or acting wrestlers. He left the WWF and went south, appearing for CMLL in Mexico, where he improved as a wrestler. In August, 2001, he was brought into New Japan by Team 2000 leader, Masahiro Chono, along with another big man, Giant Singh. The two teamed for the first time at the Tokyo Dome in October, labelled "Club 7" by Chono, and they defeated Yutaka Yoshie, Kenzo Suzuki, Hiroshi Tanahashi & Wataru Inoue in a Handicap Match when Silva pinned Tanahashi AND Inoue at the same time. The two continued to roll through wrestlers, often winning Handicap Matches against young lions. Silva suffered his first major loss at the Tokyo Dome in January, 2002, losing to Manabu Nakanishi by countout. After a falling out with Singh, Silva established himself as the top giant, pinning Singh at Tokyo Nippon Budokan in August, 2002. A monster of a man, Silva is also remarkably agile for his size, able to jump over the ropes with ease.
